Do you need Minnesota ATV/OHM education? Safety training is recommended for everyone who operates an OHV. It is required for ATV riders born after July 1, 1987, and OHM riders under the age of 16. Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Requirements: Important! You must be at least 11 years old to take the on line course. Students younger than 11 years old who are seeking ATV/OHM certification should call the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources at 800-366-8917. You must be at least 11 years old to take this online course. You do not have to be a resident of Minnesota to take the online course.
